<p>Golf is a&#xa0;sport that requires precision, technique and concentration, presenting numerous challenges for both amateur and professional golfers alike. Professional golfers must be prepared for very high physical, psychomental and psychosocial demands throughout their active careers, particularly when they earn their livelihood through actively playing golf. This narrative review presents the psychomental and psychosocial burdens and demands in professional golf and demonstrates how health measures can counteract these challenges. This article is the third part of a&#xa0;series on professional golf. Part&#xa0;1 deals with the development of professional golf and part&#xa0;2 with the profession of a&#xa0;caddy.</p>
