La gastroparesi diabetica: fisiopatologia e impatto sulla scelta del timing insulinico
摘要
Diabetic gastroparesis (DGP) is a chronic complication characterised by delayed gastric emptying in the absence of mechanical obstructions, resulting in impaired glycaemic control. The misalignment between insulin action and carbohydrate absorption causes early hypoglycaemia and late hyperglycaemia, increasing glycaemic variability and the risk of acute and chronic complications. This article examines the pathophysiology and metabolic impact of DGP, with emphasis on useful therapeutic strategies, including the most advanced technologies, for a personalised management of the patients.
