Il GHRH - Un neuropeptide non solo ipofisiotropo
摘要
The hypothalamic hormone growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), besides promoting the release of GH by the anterior pituitary, exerts many peripheral effects. In fact, several studies have demonstrated important extrapituitary activities of GHRH and its synthetic agonistic analogues, suggesting therapeutic potential in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as diabetes and metabolic diseases.
