<p>Bariatric surgery is an established therapeutic option for morbid obesity increasing worldwide, including women of childbearing age, due to improved fertility. From this perspective, several issues related to the management of pregnancy after bariatric surgery will be analyzed and discussed, including alterations in glucose homeostasis, diagnosis of gestational diabetes, postprandial hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia, and nutritional deficiencies.</p>

Bariatric surgery is an established therapeutic option for morbid obesity increasing worldwide, including women of childbearing age, due to improved fertility.
