Purpose of Review <p>This review seeks to describe the recent advances in rehabilitation of extra oral prosthesis. Although the history of maxillofacial prosthesis is unknown, manufacturing processes and materials have changed over time. At the moment, silicones and acrylic resins are the materials most frequently used to fabricate prosthesis. Prosthetic rehabilitation can enhance patients’ quality of life and psychological well-being. While the current state of clinical practice for maxillofacial prosthesis appears promising, further advancements may yield improved outcomes in future.</p> Recent Findings <p>The search showed that the recent advances such as CAD-CAM, 3D printing and Bionic prosthesis has an enormous promise. It is necessary to carry out further research on the Bionic prosthesis. Nowadays, tissue engineering has evolved to create the anatomical regions and is now a crucial component of regenerative medicine. Furthermore, research has to be conducted regarding the tissue engineering in the rehabilitation of extraoral defects.</p> Summary <p>The most recent developments in maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation can have a positive impact on improving patient care. The integration of modern technology with established methods can reduce the possibility of interpreting errors and be easily implemented into regular clinical practice.</p>
