摘要

In this systematic review, we examined the educational intervention research focused on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from Arab countries and cultures published between 1960 and January 2024. The 23 included studies were conducted in nine Arab countries and the UK, with nearly 70% of the studies carried out in four Arab countries. Studies were focused on examining the effects of various interventions on teaching social, communication, self-care, and academic skills. When evaluating the methodological rigor, we found that 6.5% of the studies received a weak rating, while 44.5% were evenly divided between strong and adequate ratings. The findings suggest that there has been an increase in educational intervention research, yet, there are notable gaps in the current state of evidence regarding teaching Arab children with ASD.
