Multimodal imaging evaluation of early-stage metaplastic breast carcinoma with heterologous mesenchymal differentiation: a case report and literature review
摘要
Metaplastic breast carcinoma with heterologous mesenchymal differentiation (MCHMD) is a rare subtype of breast cancer characterized by complex clinical and imaging features, posing a long-standing diagnostic challenge. The major difficulties lie in delayed diagnosis and the reliance on invasive procedures for definitive confirmation. This case report presents comprehensive multimodal imaging findings obtained at an early disease stage, providing potential clues for the timely recognition of maligancy. These observations offer practical reference for clinicians and highlight the importance of early detection, opening new avenues for optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for this rare malignancy.
