摘要

This paper presents a new rapid prototyping technique for pentamode lattices confined between terminal plates, along with an experimental characterization of the vertical load-bearing capacity of such systems. The analyzed fabrication process involves assembling 3D-printed components to form the nodal junctions and struts of the pentamode lattice. These components are produced through fused deposition modeling employing thermoplastic polyurethane filaments. The paper details the proposed assembly procedure, which facilitates the efficient large-scale fabrication of modular structures. The assembled lattices are confined between terminal plates made of plywood. The experimental study also investigates the effects of varying deposition angles, and the internal confinement achieved using spectra wires. The presented research paves the way for the development of seismic isolators made from layered pentamode lattices, which are constructed through the discrete assembly of additively manufactured components.
