<p>The CAS Ad Hoc Division provides an invaluable and effective contribution to dispute resolution at the Olympic Games, with the speed of resolution an advantage of the forum. Due to its role in the framework of the Olympic Games and sports regulation, it is uniquely positioned to interpret the Olympic Charter and develop lex olympica. Using selected cases from the Paris CAS Ad Hoc Division, this article canvasses the themes that emerge from the Paris CAS AD Hoc Division’s jurisprudence, specifically the forum’s jurisdiction, the ‘field of play’ doctrine, and the value of speed, and considers the Paris CAS Ad Hoc Division’s contribution to shaping lex olympica. It concludes that on the occasion of the Paris Olympic Games, the CAS Ad Hoc Division’s contribution to the advancement of lex olympica was limited because of the character of the disputes that arose.</p>
