Exploring the Relationship Between AI Acceptance and Career Decision-Making Anxiety Among Chinese University Students: A Latent Profile Analysis
摘要
In the era of artificial intelligence, the integration of emerging technologies into education and the workforce has profoundly influenced students’ career outlook and emotional well-being. This study explores the relationship between AI acceptance and career decision-making anxiety among Chinese university students using Latent Profile Analysis (LPA). A total of 965 valid responses were collected through an online survey and it was identified that there are two distinct profiles of Chinese university students: a Moderately Accepting group (78%) and a Highly Accepting group (22%). Students in the Highly Accepting group reported significantly higher levels of career decision-making anxiety across all subscales, including concerns about employment prospects, lack of employment support, lack of self-confidence, and employment competition pressure. These findings suggest that increased awareness and engagement with AI may increase students’ sensitivity to labor market uncertainties, which underscores the necessity for integrated educational interventions that foster both technological competence and emotional resilience.
