Keep up to date with new biologics emerging for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis
摘要
There is a need for novel treatments for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD), especially for a substantial subset of patients in whom the disease remains difficult to manage. Emerging biologic therapies for AD are increasingly targeting specific immune pathways integral to the pathophysiology of the disease. Examples include interleukin (IL)-4, IL-13, IL-22, IL-31, the OX40-40L axis and thymic stromal lymphopoietin. Efficacy and safety data have been positive thus far, showing the potential of these emerging systemic therapies to fill the need and improve patient outcomes in AD.
