<p>Chronic hand eczema is a complex inflammatory skin disease that persists for 3 or more months or relapses twice or more a year. Individuals with chronic hand eczema experience symptoms such as itch, pain and burning of the skin, which substantially impact the patient’s health-related quality of life and occupational performance. Management of hand eczema requires the identification and avoidance of causative factors, and the use of conventional treatments such as topical agents, phototherapy and systemic therapies. Additionally, dupilumab and delgocitinib are among the emerging therapies that show promise in the treatment of chronic hand eczema.</p>
