<p>Pixavir marboxil (Yilikang<sup>®</sup>; 壹立康<sup>®</sup>) is an oral cap-snatching endonuclease inhibitor being developed by TaiGen Biotechnology for the treatment of influenza virus infections. Pixavir marboxil recently received approval in China for the treatment of uncomplicated influenza A and B in previously healthy adults and adolescents aged ≥ 12 years. This article summarizes the milestones in the development of pixavir marboxil leading to this first approval for uncomplicated influenza A and B infections.</p>
