Fractional generalization of hyperbolic-type equation and bivariate, trivariate Mittag-Leffler type functions

The main objective of the present investigation is the fractional generalization of the hyperbolic-type equation. For this aim, first, we introduce bivariate and trivariate Mittag-Leffler type functions, studying certain properties. Furthermore, the solution to an initial-boundary value problem (Goursat’s problem) for the fractional generalization of a hyperbolic-type equation involving the regularized Prabhakar operator is presented via the introduced bivariate and trivariate Mittag-Leffler type functions. We equivalently reduce the formulated problem to the integral equation, solving it by the successive iteration method.
