<p>The production stage of any mine is very important, and it should ensure that the stope must be stable during the period of production. Many underground mines are practising cut and fill stoping method which need approach to ore body through crosscuts and haulage levels connecting the ore zone with haulage drive. This paper presents stability analysis of cut and fill mining method with backfilling at Ukwa&#xa0;Mine, MOIL Limited. Phase2 software based on Finite Element Method (FEM) was used to model various stoping&#xa0;parameters. Joint survey has been carried out for rock mass characterization and determination of RMR and Q parameters. Support design has been proposed based on rock load height using numerical simulation for haulage and ore drives, and crosscuts.</p>
