Influence of Affecting the Sustainability of The Food Supply Chain during COVID-19 and The Development of a Resilience Network To Mitigate Disruptions in The Indian Market

This study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on food supply chains worldwide, with a particular focus on India, and proposes the creation of a resilience network to address disruptions. The purpose of this analysis is to enhance understanding of the challenges faced by India’s food supply chain during the pandemic and underscore the importance of building a sustainable and resilient food system that benefits both India and global food security. By identifying the key factors that affect the sustainability of India’s food supply chain, this study provides valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders. The study uses the Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) approach to examine the connections between different issues in the supply chain. The results demonstrate that the most significant difficulty is demand volatility (DEV), followed closely by input material trade (RAI) scarcity. The finding suggests that inconsistent material supply and maintenance (CMS) is the difficulty that most strongly correlates with other aspects.
