Design and Analysis of a Novel Video Steganography Technique with Enhanced Resilience
摘要
One of the primary concerns of the current information technology era is to securely transmit sensitive data on a large scale over an unsecured channel. Steganography is a well-practiced method for concealing a secret message within multimedia content. Steganography attracts people because the transmission is inconspicuous in nature and can accommodate a substantial payload. However, the transmission is very sensitive to common operations, such as filtering, cropping, scaling, resizing, compressing, etc. Steganography becomes often vulnerable to these operations and the secret is disrupted. The proposed method leverages Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to identify area of interest for secret embedding within the video frames. These area of interest are less susceptible to noticeable changes, making them ideal for data embedding. The technique employs a chaotic map to generate random but constrained locations within the area of interest regions and embed the secret message. The embedding process employs redundancy in data embedding, ensuring robustness against different known attacks, including filtering, cropping, scaling, noise reductions, etc. The proposed method exhibits a satisfactory performance with a reported peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of 53dB and a substantial payload of
