The Impacts and Quality of Marine-Collagen-Containing Cream on Facial Skin

The present study was conducted to use aquatic collagen to produce cream and assess its effect on face skin and its quality compared to cream without collagen. Collagen was extracted by enzymatic acid method (0.5 M acetic acid with 1% pepsin enzyme amid 24 h) from farmed carp (Cyprinidae) skin. Treatments were cream containing 3% collagen and without collagen (control). They were kept at room temperature for 36 months. Tactile characteristics such as overall acknowledgment (4.81–1.86), delicate quality (4.79 and 1.76), lightening (1.78–4.48), hydration (1.20–4.74), wrinkles (1.10–4.48), weakness signs (1.12–4.57), flexibility (1.18–4.67), and solidness (1.15–4.24) were superior in the exploratory treatment compared to the control (p < 0.05). However, the other indexes such as pruritus (4.39–4.70), redness (4.08–4.50), cohesion (4.10–4.51), color (4.42–4.77), scent (4.41–4.51), appearance (4.27–4.30), and spread capacity (4.19–4.81) had no significant differences between test and control groups (P > 0.05). Other agents including microbial indexes, pH, and serious metals in the experimental and control treatments were inside the worthy run (P > 0.05). Hydroxyproline within the experimental treatment was 1.98 mg/g. Considering the noteworthy distinction within the tangible characteristics (particularly anti-wrinkle) of the test cream compared to the control and the reality that the test cream had favorable quality characteristics amid storage, 3% collagen made from cultivated carp skin is prescribed for cream generation within the cosmetic industry.
