Smart Pot Hole Detection System
摘要
This research paper presents an embedded system for detecting potholes that can be installed on a two-wheeler vehicle. In cities, poor roads and potholes can cause fatalities, and financial losses, and hinder economic growth. The proposed system uses an ESP32, accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS module to detect potholes and store their location on a cloud-based database to address this issue. A mobile application then displays the potholes’ location on a map. The study emphasizes the importance of road condition monitoring to promote accountability and transparency, and the proposed system offers an affordable, low-maintenance, and fast solution. The study’s goal is to create a system that can be installed on two-wheelers to monitor road conditions and record GPS coordinates of potholes. The research results can help reduce accidents caused by potholes and lead to the more efficient allocation of road repair resources. “A Smart Pot Hole Detection System is an embedded technology-driven solution designed to identify and monitor potholes in roads and streets. A smart system for detecting potholes can help identify and address these issues more efficiently. Here are the key components and features of such a system: Sensors, Data Processing, Real-time Monitoring, Data Logging, Mobile Apps and Alerts, Connectivity, Predictive Maintenance, Cost Reduction, Data Sharing and Environmental Considerations are important. Smart pothole detection systems can be a valuable tool for improving road infrastructure and ensuring safer and smoother travel for motorists.”
