An Energy-Aware Double Filtering Caching Strategy for Information-Centric Wireless Sensor Networks
摘要
This letter proposes an energy-aware double filtering caching strategy (EaDF) that optimizes energy consumption in Information-centric wireless sensor networks. We first establish an energy consumption model that analyzes transmission costs, replacement penalties, and memory access overhead. Guided by this model, EaDF employs a double filtering mechanism that combines node location awareness and popularity-aware thresholding to cache popular content close to consumers, while strategically reducing the frequency of cache updates to save energy. Experiments show that our method can achieve lower energy consumption.
