<p>The Pea crab species <i>Arcotheres similis</i> (Bürger, 1895) is recorded for the first time from the West Coast of India based on female specimen obtain from the shell of <i>Saccostrea cuccullata</i> (Born, 1778) collected from coastal area of Mangrol, Gujarat. This species was previously reported from the shell of <i>Modiolus philippinarum</i> (Hanley, 1843) collected from Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu state located on the east cost of India. The present study reports <i>A. similis</i> for the first time from west coast of the India with a new host species, clearly indicating the range extension of the species in Indian water.</p>
