<p>The recent expedition in the Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttar Pradesh has resulted the collection of an unknown moss from the unexplored regions of Vankatva range in the Balrampur district. The detailed taxonomic studies on the collected specimen proved its identity as <i>Pseudephemerum nitidum</i> (Hedw.) Loeske of the family Ditrichaceae. The further literature and herbarium survey revealed that, the present collection is the recollection of this taxon after the type collection by Robinson in 1964 from upper Assam region (after a span of 79&#xa0;years) and also showing its extended distribution to the moss flora of Gangetic plain. A detailed description is provided along with colour photographs for its easy identification.</p>

摘要
