<p>During a recent exploration of bryophytes in Champawat district of Uttarakhand, plants of <i>Pogonatum nudiusculum</i> Mitt. were collected, which makes a new report of the species from western Himalaya (India). Previously this species was reported exclusively from the Eastern Himalaya and Northeast India. This species has been reported after more than six decades. Morpho-taxonomic description of <i>P. nudiusculum</i> from Western Himalaya is provided with notes on its geographical distribution.</p>
