<p><i>Dipcadi reidii</i> Deb &amp; S. Dasgupta, a scarcely known Indian endemic, is recorded here as a new distributional record for the state of Himachal Pradesh. Following IUCN Red List criteria, the species is herein assessed as Endangered (ENB1ab(iii) + 2ab(iii)) globally for the first time. This assessment highlights the urgent need for protective measures and consistent monitoring of its fragile habitats.</p>
