Experimental and Theoretical Comparison of Various 4-D Modulation Schemes Using Dual Polarization and Nyquist Pulse Shaping
摘要
In optical systems, spectral efficiency and bit error rate are the primary metrics for assessing the optical transmission setup. The proposed system arrangement compares the performance of various set partitioning schemes. The 128, 64, and 32 set partitioned-dual polarized-16QAM techniques have been contrasted to typical polarised partition concatenated 16 QAM systems. Appropriate payloads of 180 Gbps to 198 Gbps are evaluated for contrasting the characteristics of 128SP-DP-16QAM and PDM-16QAM modulation systems.
