Revolutionizing Sustainable Environmental Strategy: The Agroecological Breakthrough

Agriculture sustainability includes a holistic system incorporating environmental, social, economic, and political dimensions, altogether safeguarding the food security for expanding human population. In view of the expanding population and limited resources, the present mode of agriculture system requires sustainable revolution. The potential of agroecology as a dynamic concept to address the strained conjecture of agriculture and food system has been highlighted, taking into account the basis of scientific foundation and real-time applications from global cases. The sustainable practices in agroecology are predicted towards adoption of more environment-friendly practices at the farm level to a comprehensive form at landscape level. Real-world applications of agroecologically managed systems have demonstrated positive impacts on the livelihoods of micro-farming communities, enhancing food security in developed and developing nations, as evinced from the global case-studies. Despite challenges, the transition from conventional to agroecological practices requires community involvement is the need of hour. The success of agroecology depends on continued support from policies, research, and community engagement to overcome challenges and scale up the practice.
