摘要

Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) was elaborative studied for many years because of their extraordinary features and wide range of applications. In the current study, ZnO NPs were synthesized using aqueous extract from Lakadong turmeric by green synthesis method. The synthesized ZnO NPs were analysed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Thermo Gravimetric Assay (TGA). The synthesized ZnO NPs were consisted of face centred cubic crystals as demonstrated from XRD studies. ZnO NPs exhibit spherical shape and with sizes of 30 to 40 nm. Lakadong turmeric mediated ZnO NPs were assessed for anti-bacterial activity against various well-known pathogens like Staphylococcus sp., Bacillus sp., and Pseudomonas sp., and show the inhibitory effect against pathogens. FTIR confirms the presence of functional groups like amines, ketones, metal oxides, alkyl and aryl halides in the synthesized ZnO NPs. Phytomolecules play a crucial role in interacting with nanoparticles, leading to various applications in medicine, biotechnology, and environmental sciences. Further, these Lakadong turmeric mediated ZnO NPs may be used for various purposes like wound healing, skin care products, cosmetics, cancer treatment, dentistry, and other biomedical applications.
