<p>A new variety, <i>Begonia ovatifolia</i> var. <i>raimonaensis</i> (Begoniaceae) is described here found from the Raimona National Park of Kokrajhar district in Assam, India. This new variety differs from the existing variety of <i>B. ovatifolia</i> by having pubescent petioles, peduncles, pedicels, ovary, capsules, and the presence of 3–8 basal leaves. A detailed description showing the diagnostic characteristics are provided for easy identification of this taxon.</p>

A new variety, Begonia ovatifolia var. raimonaensis (Begoniaceae) is described here found from the Raimona National Park of Kokrajhar district in Assam, India.
