<p>This article presents various structural designs and installation concepts for video-based monitoring at fish passages for upstream migration. Using practical examples from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, France, and Georgia, the deployment of compact camera systems, video tunnels, mobile guidance structures, and fixed observation rooms is analysed. The focus is on integrating these systems into local migration corridors, ensuring reliable operation under real-world conditions, and combining video monitoring with AI-assisted evaluation or traditional fish capture methods. </p>
