<p>Extensive restoration measures are being carried out along the River Inn in Bavaria, aiming to restore and maintain a variety of crucial fish habitats, including substrate spawning grounds, habitats for larval und juvenile fish, and the connectivity of habitats through fishways of various designs. The comprehensive scientific evaluation of these measures follows a multi-level approach which includes multiple methods such as monitoring of habitat restoration measures and implementing a large-scale and long-term PIT-telemetry infrastructure. The intensive stakeholder engagement crucially contributes to an improved coordination and more effective implementation of restoration actions.</p>
