摘要

The hydropeaking retention basin Silz, Tyrol, Austria, realized in the scope of the Kühtai expansion project is a compensation measure aiming aquatic ecology. The basin has a volume of about 300 000 m³ and is sealed with a geosystemic clay liner (Tektoseal Clay NA 5 000, Fa. Huesker). As the sealing needs coverage with an adequate gravel upload to withstand uplift from high groundwater levels, the elevation of the liner is located underneath low groundwater levels and therefore excavation and placement of the liner had to take place under water. To realize exact placement and position control under water a prototype swimming pontoon moved along a steal traverse was implemented. The discharge of the Silz power station, which is a high head storage power plant, varies between 0 and 48 m³/s now flows into the retention basin. To reduce the hydro peaks in terms of capacity and ramp rate optimal, a two fielded regulation weir at the runoff regulates the retention of the basin. Both fields of the weir are equipped with weir flaps that regulate the runoff according to a special steering algorithm. This is especially essential in winter, when the runoff capacity of the river Inn is low and the sensitivity to hydro peaks is high. The surrounding and the banks of the basin are landscaped subnatural and form an attractive surrounding for animals, plants and walkers.
