摘要

The newly published DWA standard M 552 “Stochastic and deterministic methods for determining flood probabilities” [2] was developed against the background of many extreme events in recent years and offers a variety of new statistical and stochastic approaches to estimate flood probabilities more accurately. In this study, the methods of partial series and type-based statistics are applied to exemplary data sets in order to quantify the influence on flood discharges and to assess the added value of including further information.
