摘要

Cold Plasma Technology (CPT) is an innovative, environmentally sustainable approach for wastewater treatment, particularly proficient in eliminating organic contaminants such as azo dyes, medicines, and viruses. This review explores the mechanisms underlying CPT's capacity to breakdown complex compounds and emphasises its application in eliminating persistent pollutants, including antibiotics and azo dyes. Factors affecting therapy efficacy, including plasma power, gas composition, and duration of treatment, are analysed. CPT encounters obstacles like as scalability, expense, and regulatory issues, despite its potential. This review seeks to enhance sustainable wastewater treatment by elucidating the efficacy of CPT and its practical implementation.
