<p>Five new species of <i>Dactylomyia</i> Aldrich (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) are described from Brazil: <i>Dactylomyia bipectinipes</i> sp. nov. (Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Minas Gerais), <i>D.</i> <i>corumba</i> sp. nov. (Mato Grosso do Sul), <i>D.</i> <i>ferrea</i> sp. nov. (Minas Gerais), <i>D.</i> <i>sevilhae</i> sp. nov. (Distrito Federal), and <i>D.</i> <i>tefe</i> sp. nov. (Amazonas and Maranhão). An identification key to males of <i>Dactylomyia</i> is provided. A cladistic analysis using a morphology-based matrix with 40 characters and 15 terminal taxa (with representatives of Coeloglutini, Neurigonini, and all Dactylomyiini genera) was performed to investigate the phylogenetic relationships within <i>Dactylomyia</i>. The results support a monophyletic <i>Dactylomyia</i> as the sister-group of <i>Naglisia</i> Quevedo, Capellari &amp; Lamas, as well as the synonymy of <i>Dacylomyia</i> with the monotypic genus <i>Macrodactylomyia</i> Naglis syn. nov.</p>
