Introduction <p>Sarcoidosis is a multi-organ disease, and the skin is often the most readily accessible organ for biopsy and diagnosis, and it may be the most impacted organ, driving treatment choices.</p> Recent Findings <p>Hospitalizations among patients with sarcoidosis often result in significant morbidity and mortality. Cutaneous manifestations of sarcoidosis can provide insight into the presence and prognosis of systemic disease. </p> Purpose of Review <p>The inpatient dermatologist can play a crucial role in diagnosis of sarcoidosis in hospitalized patients through recognition of the cutaneous manifestations of sarcoidosis and subsequent skin biopsy to facilitate prompt diagnosis and treatment. In this review, we discuss the cutaneous manifestations of sarcoidosis with particular attention to inpatient care, associations with systemic disease, extracutaneous organ involvement, and treatment options in patients admitted to the hospital.</p>
