Purpose of Review <p>Our aim was to review recent advances in bronchiectasis and how these relate to older individuals.</p> Recent Findings <p>Bronchiectasis is predominantly a disease of older individuals. Advancing age is a determinant of outcome in bronchiectasis. Novel therapies with the potential to alter the disease course have recently been approved. Older individuals are underrepresented in clinical trials.</p> Summary <p>Bronchiectasis is common in older populations. The impact on this demographic is also significant. Our understanding of bronchiectasis has grown rapidly over the past five years, resulting in novel therapies.</p>
