摘要

Thrombocytopenia is a common bleeding-related disorder with complex pathophysiological mechanisms, including abnormal platelet production, excessive platelet destruction, or abnormal platelet distribution. Studies demonstrate that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) influences various targets and processes, including immune regulation, enhancement of megakaryocyte development, and amelioration of the bone marrow microenvironment. TCM has shown potential in treating thrombocytopenia in recent years. This article examines the pathogenesis of thrombocytopenia and the pharmacological mechanisms of the active constituents of TCM for its treatment, drawing on scientific literature from Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus. It addresses the existing limitations in research and treatment, as well as potential areas for future enhancement. To provide patients with thrombocytopenia with safer, more efficient treatment options, the goal is to advance the modernisation of TCM and the development of novel therapeutic medications.
