<p><i>Potentilla discolor</i> Bunge (common name: “Fanbaicao”, “Jizhuashen”, “Yexiabai”, “Tianou”, “Fanbaiweilingca”) is a traditional Chinese medicinal (TCM) herb, and has attracted significant attention due to its diverse chemical profile and substantial medicinal potential. This paper presents a comprehensive review of <i>P. discolor</i>, systematically summarizing its traditional medicinal uses in TCM clinical practice, detailed phytochemical composition (with a focus on key bioactive components), and the latest advances in its pharmacological studies, aiming to provide a holistic reference for subsequent research and development of this valuable medicinal herb. Furthermore, it also examines recent advances in the biological activities of <i>P. discolor</i> extracts and their bioactive compounds. Overall, we believe this review will serve as a comprehensive documentation of <i>P. discolor</i> for researchers to facilitate further studies.</p> Graphical abstract <p></p>

摘要

Potentilla discolor Bunge (common name: “Fanbaicao”, “Jizhuashen”, “Yexiabai”, “Tianou”, “Fanbaiweilingca”) is a traditional Chinese medicinal (TCM) herb, and has attracted significant attention due to its diverse chemical profile and substantial medicinal potential.
