<p>We consider the radiation reaction experienced by a charge undergoing harmonic oscillations, and from a canonical transformation for the canonical moments, we present a new diagonalized Hamiltonian structure in the commutative and noncommutative spacetime. By using the path integral formulation, we obtained the partition function, which leads to the quantization of the system.</p>
