A detailed review on potential role of internet of medical things (IoMT) in healthcare
摘要
The IoMT has been instrumental in revolutionizing conventional healthcare systems as a outcome of the rapid growth of digital technology, which have introduced a new age of smart healthcare. Using distant surveillance, remote healthcare, automations, sensors, etc. the gradual acceptance of IoMT and associated technologies has resolved various challenges. However, mass adoption poses significant challenges because of confidentiality and data safety issues, data governance of enormous volumes of data, scaling, and updating. This work delivers an inclusive review of topical progressions, applications, and obstacles linked to the amalgamation of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in medical environment. Review examines the ways in which IoMT platforms and devices support telemedicine, chronic disease management, real-time patient monitoring, and intelligent hospital infrastructure by combining results from a wide range of peer-reviewed research and industry publications. Furthermore, the article outlines IoMT’s benefits, for example, expanded healthcare results, improved operational effectiveness, and an emphasis on patient-centric care. Finally, as part of the assessment process, the article discusses certain significant IoMT implementation problems, including privacy, interoperability, security, among other things.
