<p>With the vigorous development of the tourism industry, rural tourism, as a new form of tourism, has been favored by a large number of tourists. However, the current rural tourism services have many deficiencies in terms of route planning and tourist experience. Although cloud computing technology provides strong support for rural tourism platforms, its network security issues are becoming increasingly prominent. Threats such as data leakage and malicious attacks occur frequently, seriously endangering user privacy and platform interests. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the application of cloud computing network security in rural tourism platforms and proposes a design scheme for rural tourism platforms based on wireless sensor networks. Through wireless network technology, sensors are connected into a network, and encryption technology and identity verification mechanisms are utilized to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of tourist data during collection, transmission and storage. By integrating the neural network model of cloud computing resource management, the platform can dynamically allocate computing resources, improve resource utilization, and at the same time, utilize the predictive and analytical capabilities of neural networks to accurately identify network attack patterns, thereby establishing a real-time monitoring and early warning network security protection system. The experimental results show that, on the premise of ensuring network security, the platform proposed in this paper can effectively optimize route planning and provide visiting plans that meet the personalized needs of tourists. It can still maintain stable operation under high traffic conditions and provide uninterrupted services for tourists. Therefore, a rural tourism platform based on cloud computing network security guarantee can not only significantly enhance tourists’ visiting experience, increase their understanding and perception of the tourist destination, but also provide strong support for the sustainable development of the rural tourism industry. By effectively protecting tourists’ privacy and data security, this platform helps enhance users’ trust in rural tourism, attract more tourists to participate in rural tourism, and thereby promote the economic prosperity of rural areas and the inheritance of cultural tourism.</p>
