<p>The opportunities and challenges associated with providing charging facilities to Electric Vehicles (EVs) users require modification in current Indian power grid. Substantial information of projected power demand in coming years is required to modify the grid. In this work, methodology is proposed to forecast the rate of rise in power demand. A city of Uttar Pradesh, Mainpuri, is studied to predict the statics of vehicle till 2030. Along with vehicle statics, an increase in power demand of 66% till 2025 and 102.54% till 2030 is projected. Accommodation of increased demand in current energy landscape of Mainpuri is discussed.</p>
