摘要

This empirical cross-sectional study investigates the implementation of early childhood education for a sustainable future (ECEfS) from the perspective of ECE teachers in Croatia. The research was conducted with a convenience sample of 114 ECE teachers, and data were gathered through online surveys and scaling in 2024, following the principles of voluntariness and anonymity. Factor analysis revealed two distinct approaches to ECEfS implementation. The first approach emphasizes the acquisition of foundational knowledge and behaviours related to sustainability, while the second approach fosters connections with the local social and natural environment. In both approaches, the social dimension of sustainability plays a central role.
