<p>This study investigates the influence of governance and corruption on entrepreneurship, economic growth, and sustainability in BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) from 2000 to 2023. Using data from the World Bank’s Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) and the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Index, the analysis employs pooled OLS, fixed-effects, random-effects models, and the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). The findings reveal that governance indicators affect entrepreneurship, sustainability, and economic growth. While short-term entrepreneurial activity may hinder human development, improved corruption control, political stability, and the rule of law enhance long-term entrepreneurship and sustainability. However, aggressive anti-corruption measures can negatively impact sustainability, underscoring the need for balanced governance strategies. Policymakers are advised to strengthen anti-corruption efforts, ensure political stability, improve regulatory quality, and reinforce the rule of law to promote sustainable economic growth. Its insights contribute to the understanding of governance, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, providing valuable policy recommendations for fostering economic growth and sustainability through improved governance.</p>
