<p>The rapid advancement of financial technology (fintech) reflects a broader shift toward a knowledge based financial ecosystem, reshaping financial services through innovation and the strategic application of expertise. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of fintech research from 2015 to May 2025, employing VOSviewer and R software to systematically analyze 3,698 scholarly articles. The analysis highlights trends in knowledge creation and dissemination within the fintech domain, identifying key contributors, evolving research themes and shifts in scholarly focus. By examining author-level publication patterns the study uncovers prominent researchers and their influence on the diffusion of fintech knowledge. Geographical analysis reveals variations in research activity across countries, identifying both emerging hubs and established centers of fintech innovation. Furthermore, an assessment of journal and institutional outputs illuminates the principal platforms and actors driving fintech research, bridging academic and industrial perspectives. These insights underscore the role of knowledge in fostering innovation, guiding practice and addressing complex challenges in the evolving financial landscape.</p>
