Green Innovation in Emerging Market Banking and Finance: A Comprehensive Framework
摘要
Emerging market banking and finance sectors are pivotal in driving sustainable development while grappling with unique challenges. This study proposes a comprehensive conceptual framework to promote Green Innovation (GI) in emerging market banking and finance. Anchored in Information Systems (IS) theories, the framework integrates four key components: strategic alignment, technology integration, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. The proposed framework seeks to guide financial institutions in implementing GI strategies while fostering economic growth and environmental sustainability. The framework is validated through a case study of the Bank of Montreal (BMO), demonstrating how IS theories inform practical GI implementation. This study contributes to transforming emerging market banking and finance into powerful agents of positive change.
