<p>University-Industry Integration (UII) plays a vital role in enhancing higher education quality and driving regional economic development. However, limited enterprise engagement remains a significant challenge. Based on symbiosis theory, this study constructs a model that encompasses the interactions between symbiotic units, innovation in symbiotic mechanisms, and optimization of the symbiotic environment. The findings reveal that the clarity of common goals and the effectiveness of communication channels have significant positive impacts on symbiotic unit interaction; exploration of new integration models and the construction of shared platforms significantly influence symbiotic mechanism innovation; policy support and socio-economic conditions significantly enhance the optimization of the symbiotic environment. These dimensions collectively contribute to the positive impact on the symbiotic benefits of University-Industry Integration. The study suggests optimizing the integration environment by building a symbiotic ecosystem, improving the incentive and evaluation systems, and strengthening collaborative innovation capabilities to stimulate the vitality of diverse stakeholders and deepen the effectiveness of integration practices, thereby advancing University-Industry Integration toward higher quality and deeper levels.</p>
