<p>This study investigates the relationship between broadband technology penetration and entrepreneurial activities in BRICS countries from 2010 to 2022. Entrepreneurship could play an important role in driving growth and creating a more prosperous future for these countries. While previous research has extensively examined this relationship in developed nations, limited attention has been given to emerging economies. Using panel data analysis, this study specifically examines how both mobile and fixed broadband subscriptions influence total entrepreneurial activity (TEA). Cross-sectional dependence (CSD), unit root, and cointegration tests are used in this study before an econometric model. Finally, the fixed effects model, panel-corrected standard errors (PCSE), and system GMM are among the estimators’ models used in this study. The statistically significant and positive results indicate that fixed and mobile broadband technologies positively impact entrepreneurship. Mobile broadband shows a higher favorable influence in promoting new business when compared to fixed broadband. Additionally, control variables including trade openness, credit availability, population growth, government expenditure, and research and development demonstrate positive associations with entrepreneurship. These findings highlight the need to strategically foster these technologies to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment within the BRICS region. Promote the adoption of mobile-first business solutions by developing and supporting comprehensive programs. These programs should equip entrepreneurs with the necessary training and resources to effectively integrate mobile technology into various facets of their business operations, including but not limited to mobile marketing strategies, secure online payment processing, and the development of user-friendly mobile applications. The study admits the need for additional research to gain more knowledge of the precise mechanisms between broadband technologies and entrepreneurial activity.</p>
