Effects of Brief Mindfulness Training Programs on the Psychological Status and HPA Axis of Chinese Pregnant Women: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Study
摘要
This study evaluated the effects of a brief mindfulness program on psychological outcomes and HPA axis function in pregnant women.
MethodParticipants (n = 215) were randomized to intervention or control groups. Psychological outcomes were assessed at four time points, and salivary cortisol was measured pre- and post-intervention.
ResultsCompared with the control group, the intervention group had lower levels of FOC (p = 0.02), depression (p < 0.01), and anxiety (p < 0.01). The intervention effect on FOC persisted until T3 (p = 0.01), while the effect on depression persisted until T4 (p < 0.05). At T2, the intervention group had a higher cortisol awakening response compared with the control group (p = 0.01).
ConclusionsThe brief mindfulness program reduced perinatal depression, anxiety, and fear of childbirth, and showed regulatory effects on HPA axis function.
