Electricity 4.0 marks a transformative shift in the energy sector, driven by the integration of digital technologies such as big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) etc. This paper delves into the concept of Electricity 4.0, focusing on its pivotal role in reshaping energy generation, distribution, and consumption through innovative, sustainable, and efficient energy solutions. It highlights the key components of this paradigm, including advanced energy storage systems, decentralized energy resources (DER), and smart grids, which collectively facilitate the evolution of a smarter and more sustainable energy ecosystem.
